A sweet tooth that makes you add sugary things like cookies, soda, cake, or candy may be setting yourself up for heart disease.

Scientists have discovered that increased consumption of added sugar is associated with an increased risk for death from cardiovascular disease.

If you don't think you are at risk, consider this: Researchers found that 71-percent of adults get more than the recommended 10-percent of their daily calories from added sugars in foods and drinks.
