Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: Feb 7, 2014, 11:51 AM CST

A period of snow likely across much of the Mid-South Friday night into Saturday morning. A potent upper level disturbance will race from the Southwest United States toward the Mid-South Friday afternoon. Light snow will break out across the southern plains and streak into the Mid-South by Friday evening continuing overnight before ending by Saturday morning.

Areas along and north of Interstate 40 can expect an inch of snow with some areas receiving up to 2 inches.

Winter weather advisory remains in effect from 6 p.m. this evening to 6 a.m. Saturday

* snow accumulations...1 inch to locally 2 inches.

* timing...6 p.m. CST this evening until 6 a.m. CST Saturday.

* impacts...travel difficulties due to snow covered roads.

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.
