Bethany Mota takes New York

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

She doesn't have a number one hit song. She's not a rising Hollywood starlet. Yet girls all around the world go crazy for Bethany Mota. Her claim to fame? The internet.

"I started making videos when I was 13 years old, I was really bored, I was dealing with bullying at the time, I just didn't really have much to do," she says.

Fast forward 5 years and the once-bullied teen from northern California now has more followers on YouTube than Lady Gaga.

Millions hang on her every Instagram post and tweet. She dishes on clothes, beauty products and even recipes. So it's no surprise plenty of brands want her stamp of approval.

"A lot of brands will email me and say 'Hey can you try out my products' and I'll always say, 'I'm open to trying products, but I'm just very picky about it because you know at the end of the day I really want my viewers to think they can trust me,'" she says.

And trust and love her they do. Crowds of fans came to Orlando last week to check out the Motavatour for Aéropostale, where she's now designing her very own fashion line.

She says when she meets her fans and the people who buy her clothes it feels crazy

"Actually a few weeks ago I followed a girl around the mall because I saw her wearing a sweater from my collection," she says. "I was like 'Is that my sweater is it not?' It just blew my mind!"

Like her personality, her line is very girl next door. Even a giant bus with her face on it isn't getting to her head. She took us onboard and showed us her room.

She says her secret to success is being herself.

"With my YouTube videos I'm just being me, having them look into my life and it's all real and organic so I think that's what's most important."

All right all you Motavators out there: You still have time to meet Beth in New York. She will be at the Roosevelt Field Mall Friday, February 7, with the Motavatour bus.
