MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

According to the National Weather Service Memphis bureau, Memphis has seen 2.6 inches of rain so far Tuesday afternoon, breaking a 131-year-old record set on this date.

The previous record set on this date in 1883 was 1.55 inches.

National Weather Service also says as of 4 p.m. Germantown has seen record rainfall of 2.52 inches, and 1.65 inches of record rain has fallen in Jackson, Tenn.
