The Memphis Symphony Orchestra has some exciting events coming up next week! On Valentine's Day, Friday, February 14, MSO is opening up its annual Young People's Concert to the public for only $5 a ticket. Join MSO and Shelby County Schools for the culmination of this educational curriculum for students grades three through 6, which is completely driven by musical foundations. The concert will be held at the Cannon Center at 10:00 a.m. I've attached a release with more details about the program and the performance.
The next day, Saturday, February 15, MSO will present the third POPS concert of the season, Wicked Divas, featuring Broadway stars Emily Rozek and Nicole Parker from the musical Wicked. The program includes a variety of Broadway, musical theater and opera favorites. Falling right after Valentine's Day, this concert is a great tie in to Heart Health month (you might even compare these two STRONG sopranos to the strongest muscle in the body, the HEART!) and would be a wonderful treat for date night or ladies night! The concert will be held at the Cannon Center at 7:30 p.m. I've attached this release as well.
