Organizers look ahead to Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale

Posted: Updated:
GLENDALE, Ariz. -

The Super Bowl XLVIII champion has been crowned, and now it's time to start thinking about Super Bowl XLIX.

Even though its a year away, the planning has already begun in Glendale.

The big game will be in the valley for the third time, hosted at the University of Phoenix stadium for the second.

The Super Bowl host committee officially got started before the big game when New York and New Jersey handed off the Super Bowl to Arizona.

Now it's our turn--and the excitement is already building.

"We've got a great example in New York they did a lot of things great. They faced a few challenges with the weather, but I think it actually got warmer as the Arizona crowd started to arrive and so we're thrilled to have that opportunity and showcase everything, what's great about Arizona," said David Rousseau, with the Arizona Super Bowl host committee.

The committee already looking for volunteers.

If you're interested in taking part, you can check out the volunteer opportunities at azsuperbowl.com.
