Law firm launches free online property tax calculator

Posted: Updated:

(WJBK) -- A local law firm says it has a new tool to help determine whether or not you're paying too much in property taxes.

1-800-LAW-FIRM on Thursday launched a new, free Property Tax Calculator. Users enter a few fields of information and receive a message from the firm on whether they should think about appealing their property taxes.

Click here to use the calculator.

From 1-800-LAW-FIRM:

If the Widget determines that a property owner is overpaying their property tax, 1-800-LAW-FIRM, PLLC will appeal their property tax at their local board of review or at the Michigan Tax Tribunal, if necessary. There is no cost for the appeal process unless 1-800-LAW-FIRM, PLLC wins the appeal. There is a flat fee if the appeal is won at the local jurisdiction and a flat fee plus a percentage of the tax savings if the appeal is won at the Tax Tribunal.
