Eric LeGrand completes Rutgers degree

NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) - Eric LeGrand does not believe in excuses. After a football injury in 2010 left him paralyzed, LeGrand still had 60 credits to complete at Rutgers University. He never stopped believing. He attended classes via Skype between therapy and wrote papers on his smart phone by holding a stylus in his mouth.

So six years after he enrolled at the school he completed his final assignment this week and earned a degree in labor relations. But he says his passion is in broadcasting having recently called games for his Alma mater.

He says he respects Payton Manning's comeback a serious neck injury. Now Manning, the quarterback of LeGrand's favorite team, the Denver Broncos, is coming the New Jersey to play in the Super Bowl. LeGrand says he has to find a way to get tickets.

LeGrand says he hopes he can be an example to others about commitment and dedication.
