Family hopes billboard leads to East Atlanta killer

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

The sister of a man killed in East Atlanta hopes a billboard will help track down her brother's killer.

Patrick Cotrona, a 33-year-old video game engineer and a Georgia Tech graduate, was shot to death during a robbery in last May in East Atlanta as he walked to a nearby pub.

A $25,000 reward is being offered to put the people responsible behind bars.

"Our hope is that somebody will see the billboard and come forward with some information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for murdering my brother," said Kate Krumm, Cotrona's sister.

The sketches on the billboard are believed to be the men involved in a number of robberies in East Atlanta and other neighborhoods. The same men may have killed Cotrona.

Atlanta police need a spark to get this investigation going again, and the family says all of the city will be safer if an arrest is made.

"The more criminals that we can take off the street, the better and the safer that our community is going to be for all of us," said Krumm.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
