Clues sought in murder of Powder Springs mother

Posted: Updated:
POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. -

One year after the murder of a young mother in Powder Springs, police are still no closer to finding the killer.

Danielle Marshall was found dead last January in her home. Her boyfriend called authorities and said that no one was answering the door, but he could hear their child crying inside. Marshall's infant child was found feet away from her body, crawling on the floor.

Police still say they have little information to go on.

"We've exhausted all leads. We've interviewed a multitude of people and everything has led to a dead end," said Powder Springs Police Chief Charlie Sewell.

Authorities admit the killing wasn't random, but won't say much beyond that, citing an investigation that's still ongoing.

"We're just hoping and we know that someone in the public knows who's responsible for this murder," said Sewell.

Danielle's mother, Gloria, is now raising her granddaughter and hoping that someone will shed some light on her daughter's death.

"It just isn't right. There's no one that had the right to take my daughter's life," said Gloria Marshall.
