SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell said a little bit about a lot Wednesday during his State of the County address.

He had a luncheon with the Kiwanis Club to discuss everything from education to the budget.

Mayor Luttrell focused more of his address on education saying it is key to moving forward.

"When you think of poverty, job readiness, public safety, education touches every part of our life," he said.

Mayor Luttrell also addressed economic development and growth for Shelby County.
