Stranded Greyhound riders living on food vouchers, need answers

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The cold and snow have been a nightmare for hundreds of Greyhound bus passengers stranded here in Chicago. They have been stuck here since Saturday with no food and few answers.

Passengers told FOX 32 News that the temperature inside the Chicago bus station dropped into the 50s. They've been offered warming busses to sleep in, but they say the experience is causing frustration. They just want to get home.

A passenger called FOX 32 to report the conditions. Greyhound posted signs saying bus service was cancelled due to the extreme weather. Over the past couple of days, passengers said the station and busses have become dirty and uncomfortable - and they are looking for information.

Passengers were given food vouchers to use. Greyhound tells FOX 32 they were giving out three vouchers per day, but had to cut back to two a day. They are searching for a new food vendor and when they find one, will resume feeding passengers three times a day.
