MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - -

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton has declared today Zach Randolph Day in the city. It's in honor of Z-Bo's work within the community.

The forward is in this fifth season in Memphis. He received the November Kia Community Award last month in recognition for his contributions in Memphis.

Randolph will accept the proclamation today at an event benefiting LeBonheur.

Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph is getting his own day Friday in the city of Memphis in honor of all his charity work in the community.

Mayor A C Wharton is declaring Friday as "Zach Randolph Day in Memphis, and the Grizzlies forward will be accepting the proclamation at an event benefiting Le Bonheur Children's Hospital that afternoon.

The NBA honored Randolph as the league's player of the month in November for his community work.
