MARIETTA, Ga. -

Police say a man who stabbed his wife ended up going on a spree that ended with him setting fire to Cobb County home.

A spokesperson for the Marietta Police Department tells FOX 5 News that 55-year-old Juan Espinal was arrested for that domestic violence and setting that fire.  They say around 1:20 a.m. Friday, Espinal stabbed his wife at their home in the 2000 block of Winterset Parkway.  He then drove his vehicle to a house off of Brookhaven Drive where he set his vehicle and the house on fire.

Espinal was found a few hours later unconscious on Chastain Road under the Interstate 75 overpass. He was rushed to Kennestone Hospital where he was listed in serious condition. His wife was also rushed to the hospital following the stabbing and was said to be in stable condition. No one at the home on Brookhaven Drive was injured during the fire.

Police are looking into the possibility that an individual at the Brookhaven Drive home was involved in the original dispute.

The name of the victim was not released.
