MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

The Mississippi NAACP said the Walls Police Department has notified them that there is more dash cam video than was initially shown to the family of James Irby or the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

The tape may contain new evidence in Irby's disappearance after his May 4 traffic stop in Walls, the Mississippi NAACP said.

Viola Johnson, Irby's sister, told FOX13 News she wants closure, and both she, and the NAACP believe that her brother is dead.

MBI investigators are taking another look at the Irby case. Johnson said she thought there was more tape from the beginning. The Mississippi NAACP believes the tapes may have been tampered with.

Johnson believes the tape will provide much needed clues.

"Well, we are hoping and praying that gives them some more evidence, or that something will show up on the tape as to what happened to my brother," she said.

Irby's sister has maintained that former Walls police chief Gary Boisseau gave her the run around and never showed her the full tape of her brother's traffic stop.

"No I really haven't believed them from day one, since he came up missing May the Fourth of 2013," Johnson said.

Boisseau said the so-called new tape is nothing new, and that it will only further clear Officer Zack Jenkins of any wrong doing in the traffic stop.

Irby's sister says she has been told the new dash cam video has hours of footage, and that she was only shown about 12 minutes of the traffic stop.

"Well, from the beginning when we saw just the beginning we saw the 12 minutes of the tape and it just went black," Johnson said. "I always have said that there was more to the tape, than what they had on that tape."

According to the Mississippi NAACP, both they and the MBI are supposed to view the new tape sometime in early January.

Boisseau said Officer Jenkins did nothing wrong in the traffic stop, and that his department was cleared by the MBI.
