MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Memphis Police detectives said three people were shot, two fatally, in an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday afternoon at an apartment complex in the Binghampton neighborhood of Memphis.

The other gunshot victim was critically wounded and taken to The MED. Firefighters worked on the victim just outside the second floor apartment where the shooting happened.

Witnesses told FOX13 News they saw police officers pull at least one young child from the Chickasaw Place Apartments on Mimosa Avenue shortly after 1 p.m.

The unidentified child was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital to get checked out.
