Posted: Updated:

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - New Haven police have identified a 32-year-old man who was shot to death in the city's 19th homicide of the year.

Police say city resident Deveron McLaughlin was shot once in the head and found in a rear parking lot off Weybosset Street on Saturday night. He was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

No arrests have been announced. Authorities say they don't have descriptions of any suspects or vehicles that may have been involved, and they're asking any witnesses to call New Haven police.

There have been two more homicides this year in the Elm City compared with last year.
