NOGALES, Ariz. -

It's been a busy couple of weeks for Border Patrol agents who have pulled millions of dollars of marijuana off the streets.

One smuggler tried hiding the drugs in a shipment of aluminum, another stuffed bales of pot inside his truck and then tried to hide it by wrapping it in a camouflage tarp, while another smuggler tried to hide his stash inside crates of watermelon -- but it didn't work.

On Thursday, agents arrested a Mexican national after they found more than a half ton of marijuana hidden within a shipment of aluminum cans.  The man was turned over to Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents.  The drugs have a street value of nearly $500,000.

Agents near Tucson uncovered an abandoned truck and found nearly 1,200 pounds of marijuana stuffed inside.  Some of which had been covered up with a camouflage tarp.

Meantime, another Mexican national tried to hide nearly $1 million worth of pot inside a shipment of watermelons, but a K-9 officer at the Port of Nogales was able to quickly sniff out the drugs.

And finally, Customs and Border Protection officers in Douglas arrested two men within hours of each other on Wednesday.  Both were carrying large amounts of marijuana that were headed here to the U.S.  One of the suspects even tried hiding the drugs under the hood of his car.
