PHOENIX (AP) -- A Superior Court judge in Phoenix is declining to revive a lawsuit seeking to declare Arizona's campaign contribution limits unconstitutionally low.
The suit filed by an aide to Attorney General Tom Horne was dismissed in October by Judge Sally Duncan and she refused to change her ruling at a Friday hearing.
The Yavapai County Attorney has accused Horne aide Kathleen Winn and Horne himself of illegally coordinating campaign spending in his 2010 election while she ran an independent spending committee. They deny those allegations.
Winn was seeking to sidetrack that case by having the contribution limits nullified.
The suit was initially dismissed because no case was pending and Winn hadn't exhausted other legal remedies.
Duncan ruled again Friday that Winn and Horne must first battle the illegal campaign coordination case.
