Video Shows Suspects Stealing Christmas Decorations

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA -

Surveillance catches two suspects being naughty. Video shows them helping themselves to someone else's Christmas decorations!

As FOX 29's Leigh Scheps reports, neighbors are crying foul over these grinches!

It's the time of year where a little sparkle makes people a bit merrier. These Christmas decorations have been a tradition on this South Philadelphia street for decades.

The owner of the home, Josephine even dresses up her air conditioner, but this year the spirit of Ebenezer Scrooge may have gotten the best of it.

Police say thieves stole some decorations off Josephine's front porch.

"I was shocked. I lived here 40 years and no one ever touched anything," Josephine said.

And it was all caught on camera watch as this woman takes the Santa Claus from outside Josephine's home around 2:15 in the morning.

An hour later she comes back with a man and steals a second one, but before the Dio takes off the woman fixes one of the trees she knocked over.

Christmas isn't the only time of year Josephine breaks out the decorations for. She lights up the neighborhood for all the major holidays She was even featured in a local paper for Halloween .

The Christmas spirit crushed even though these neighborhood lights still glimmer.

If you have any information about the suspect, please call police.
