Another ugly debate over abortion is unfolding at the state capitol where 'Right to Life' wants to force women, who want abortion insurance, to pay for it. Most health plans now routinely cover the cost, and the emotions are running high on whether to change that.

These anti-abortion adults appeared at a news conference urging lawmakers to eliminate automatic abortion insurance coverage for women. Each participant was conceived as a result of a rape.

Rebecca Kiessling from Rochester Hills recounts that her mother who abducted by a serial rapist at knife point.

"She tried to kill me at a couple of back-alley abortions but backed out because it was illegal. And now today we are both thankful that we were both spared the horror of abortion. And the truth is that I am not the worst thing that ever happened to her," she says.

The Senate Democratic leader, Gretchen Whitmer has called this 'Right to Life' legislation "rape insurance," and while she applauds the decision those who attended the news conference, she believes this is just another attempt to deny women the right to choose.

"How many women can plan for an unplanned pregnancy?" she says. She continues, "And by taking away that right and requiring this additional rider is another burden on the woman's right to choose."

These anti-abortion citizens make a different point.

"We don't want to pay for someone else's abortion," says Mary Rathke. Skubick asks her, "But if they choose to exercise that option, isn't that legal?"

Rathke responds, "It is legal, but I don't want to pay for it."

But pro-choice Democrat Sen. Rebekah Warren says it is not about the money.

"I want doctors and patients, and certainly in this case doctors and women, to decide what the best course of treatment is and I don't want money to be the difference between whether or not a woman can have a life-saving or fertility-saving procedure that might be the best choice for her and her family," Warren says.

'Right to Life' believes it has the votes to pass this bill.
