WOODSTOCK, Ga. -

A man has been arrested for breaking into a Cherokee County church and stealing a cargo trailer, generators, tools and other items used to help those less fortunate.

A spokesperson for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office tells FOX 5 News that an officer serving papers at a home on Sugar Pike Road came across the stolen items including an enclosed trailer they believe were stolen from the North Central Area Mission back in September.

The owner of the home, Thomas Allen Reeves, 38, of Woodstock, was already in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges. He will be charged with burglary among other charges. He remains in jail without bond.

Investigators also believe they found items stolen from school districts in Douglas and Gilmer counties.
