SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

A lot of work goes into getting ready for the biggest shopping day of the year.

Every retailer has high hopes of getting your business, so they roll out the deals.

Target is just one of the many that has their game face on.

It's the biggest shopping day of the year and retailers are more ready than ever.

Target opens at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and they are rolling out more deals than you can count.

The prep that goes into a day like this starts well in advance.

Christy Ras is the general manager at the Target location off the Loop 101 and Indian Bend.

She and her team start months in advance.

"We start hiring in October, but our plans start before that," said Ras.

How do they decide what's going to be a big doorbuster special?

"It's really our guests that decide that for us," said Ras. "It's what they are wanting, it's the price points they are looking for. We try to be really competitive with the other big box retailers, so it's really our guests that are demanding the things that our hot for the year."

How are certain items stocked at the end caps of aisleS?

"One to draw attention to them, they are great deals. We want our guests to see what great deals they can get on Black Friday, as well as you can put more inventory on them so there is less stocking for us," said Ras.

If a scooter is on a wish list for a special little one in your life, they are practically giving it away-$19!

After Target closes on Wednesday, employees create displays and end caps of all of their Black Friday deals.

Their inventory room is staffed non-stop to make sure product is replenished and moved as quickly as possible.

To keep the guests flowing hours after the big rush at 8 p.m., they are offering even more incentives.

"Pretty much Friday night at midnight until the close time Friday, that would be 11 o'clock...you get an extra 20 percent off coupon to spend anywhere between the first week of December, December 1 through 7, and that's if you buy $75 worth of product or more, which is easy to do in Target," said Ras.

Extra staff, smiling faces, lots of product and more deals than you can count: Target is ready!
