Chicago's Most Wanted: Eric Secundino

Posted: Updated:

This is one of those cases where solving it is going to require a tip from someone who knows where the suspect is hiding. The FBI and local police say they have exhausted all leads up to this point.

Eric Secundino was charged in connection with a triple murder that happened in Chicago on New Years Day 2008. Chicago Police found evidence that indicated the murders were the result of a drug deal. Investigators say Secundino and another man had gone to a house in the Logan Square neighborhood expecting to sell multiple kilos of cocaine, and when the occupants claimed they didn't have any money, Secundino and his accomplice shot and killed three of them and wounded a fourth.

In September 2009 Chicago police say they learned that Secundino's girlfriend was getting ready to fly to Arizona to be with him, because he is the father of her child.

Secundino was subsequently charged in a federal criminal complaint with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. But efforts to locate Secundino in Arizona were unsuccessful and that's why the FBI is renewing its plea for the public's help in locating him.

FBI agents believe at this point that Secundino may have fled to Mexico. We know that a lot of people in Chicago have family in Mexico and will be traveling there during the holidays to visit them. They hope anyone who learns of Secundino's whereabouts will contact them or local police

The FBI is offering a reward for information that helps it locate and apprehend Secundino.
