PHOENIX (AP) - A 27-year-old Phoenix man charged in a wrong-way freeway crash in Phoenix that killed a New York woman has pleaded not guilty.

Benjamin Charles Kuzelka entered the plea Monday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

He was indicted on charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, endangerment and aggravated DUI.

Kuzelka was arrested Nov. 7 after being released from a hospital where he was treated for injuries from the Oct. 6 accident that killed 55-year-old Mary A. Boysman of Oswego, N.Y.

Boysman was a passenger in an SUV that was struck head-on by a vehicle driving in the wrong direction on State Route 51.

The driver of the SUV was seriously injured and hospitalized for days.
