Kitten rescued from inside wall at apartment complex

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -

Rescuers freed a kitten from inside a wall at a Stone Mountain apartment complex on Monday morning.  Residents at the Haverly Apartments on Summit Creek Drive told FOX 5 they started hearing meows from inside the wall last Thursday.

Residents say the leasing office was closed all weekend, and the tenants called police, fire crews, the ASPCA and the Humane Society asking for help.  Finally, on Monday morning, the little gray kitten was rescued.

Appropriately, residents are calling the kitten "Miracle." They say she was hungry when she was pulled from the wall, but she appeared to be healthy.

Chandra Allen, who first heard the kitten's wailing, plans to keep the cat.
