Should Michigan raise its minimum wage to $9.25 an hour?  That's what Mark Schauer would like to see.  The presumptive Democratic nominee for Governor says if we pay those workers a living wage, it will pump more money into the economy and make life better for everyone in the state.  But former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox says just the opposite will happen.  He thinks it will make employers cut jobs and make everything cost more.  Be sure to catch the fireworks when these two start debating it.

Plus, should shopping on Thanksgiving be illegal?  There's a movement to preserve the holiday and make stores close their doors on the 4th Thursday of November.  Annie Zirkel is a relationship counselor in Ann Arbor.  She's started a Facebook campaign urging retailers to respect Thanksgiving and not open for business.  She's also in favor of creating a law that would ban shopping on the holiday.  Former State Rep. and political insider Andrew "Rocky" Raczkowski agrees that Thanksgiving should be preserved, but says a new law isn't the way to do it.
