Chicago's Most Wanted: Hooded bandit

Posted: Updated:

This is a bank robber who has operated in the Northwest suburbs, starting in February. He hit again in the spring but then laid low until holding up another bank in early November. The FBI wants to make sure it's a case of three strikes and you're out for this bandit.

The first robbery this individual committed was back on February 15th. He walked into the Harris Bank branch at 130 W. Devon armed with a silver handgun. He approached the teller window, displayed the weapon and demanded money from the bank employee.

The second robbery the FBI says he committed happened on April 19th. In that case the robber entered the Charter One Bank branch at 3901 Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows.

The most recent robbery occurred on November 15th at another Charter One Bank branch at 333 East Irving Park in Wood Dale.

The robber implied he had a weapon, but did not show one.

FBI agents call him the Hooded Bandit because in each case he has worn either a hooded sweatshirt or a hooded jacket.

The FBI is offering a reward for information that helps it identify and arrest this individual. It's asking Fox 32 News viewers to take a good look at the bank surveillance photos in hopes that someone will recognize the man and call the FBI office or police.

Here is the FBI's description of the Hooded Bandit:

--White male

--50 to 60 years old.

--5' 8'' to 6' 0''

--165 pounds

--Gray hair, gray facial hair

The Hooded Bandit is considered armed and dangerous. If you know who or where he is, you are asked to call the FBI or local police.
