MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

The Memphis Grizzlies will be spreading holiday cheer across the City of Memphis as they prepare to give thanks this week and throughout the month of November. Grizzlies players, coaches, family members and staff will team with community partners to make a difference in the lives of children and families by hosting several charitable events throughout the thanksgiving month to give thanks to the City of Memphis.

The giving will continue when Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph will be on-hand to provide and distribute 450 Thanksgiving food baskets on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Booker T. Washington H.S. (715 S. Lauderdale St. Memphis 38126). Randolph will also hand out tickets to some families to attend an upcoming game. On Thursday, Nov. 21 Randolph will also distribute 450 more food baskets at Hamilton High School (1363 E. Person Ave. Memphis 38106) from 4 - 6 p.m. During both events, families will be provided with information on how to have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and refreshments will be provided to families waiting in line.

From Nov. 5 through Nov. 20, Grizzlies guard Jerryd Bayless is teaming up with K97 to give three families a chance to win a $500 Kroger gift card and the opportunity to shop with Bayless on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9:30 a.m. For more information or to nominate a family, visit k97fm.com.

On Sunday, Nov. 24 Grizzlies forward Quincy Pondexter will also provide and distribute Thanksgiving food baskets to the New Directions Christian Church community (6120 Winchester Rd. Memphis 38115) from 4 - 6 p.m. As with the previous giveaways, the families will be provided with information on healthy eating and refreshments will be provided to families waiting in line.

The Lady Bears, comprised of women who play a significant role in the lives of Grizzlies players, coaches and basketball operations staff, will be heading over to the Salvation Army (696 Jackson Ave. Memphis 38105) on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 5 p.m. to serve dinner to guests of the Salvation Army. This marks the fifth year the Lady Bears have provided Thanksgiving dinners for the women and children at the Salvation Army.

The team's Thanksgiving Month will continue as the Grizz Grannies and Grandpas join MIFA in their Meals on Wheels program Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. to deliver dinner to Memphians and families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Grizzlies Season of Giving will continue throughout the holiday season with the Grizzlies Annual Toy Drive, player shopping sprees, player appearances at local hospitals and coat drives throughout December. More information on these events will be announced at a later date.
