ATLANTA (AP) - Moving day for two Georgia men meant shutting down a 2-mile stretch of one of Atlanta's busiest roads.

That's because Roger Smith and Christopher Jones had to move their entire house - a 1920s mansion they agreed to relocate in order to save the home from being torn down.

FOX 5 cameras were there as crews transported the mansion in two sections weighing about 200,000 pounds apiece early Saturday. The move required closing a section of Peachtree Street, and workers had to lift dangling streetlights and power lines out of the way during the trip.

Smith and Jones got the house for free, but they haven't tallied up the cost of moving it from Buckhead to midtown. They plan to spend about six months fixing up the mansion.
