A FOX 10 EXCLUSIVE

PHOENIX -- It's a story FOX 10 first broke earlier this week and is now making national headlines.

We uncovered a Facebook page -- in which grown women -- some of them moms -- mock and ridicule pictures of babies and toddlers -- some of those kids have disabilities.

It's taking cyber bullying to a whole new low.

The story has generated a lot of reaction across the country --  including from some parents -- who had no idea their kids' pictures had been taken and were the subject of harsh ridicule -- and only discovered it when our story aired.

"At first, I said no way, this cannot be true."

That was Jade Jacobs' reaction after watching our exclusive story about a secret Facebook site where women post pictures of other people's children to make fun of them.

She had no clue her daughter's picture was on the page and was being ridiculed.

"My heart was broken.. I was devastated that my daughter had been violated in such a way."

The site was not meant to be seen by others, but FOX 10 obtained screenshots.

Under one of the photos, a woman wrote, "It's hideous."  Another woman commented, "You cannot fix ugly," while another wrote, "An ugly baby thread.. I've absolutely died and gone to heaven."

"That's just something I would never think a mother or grown women would do."

Ellen Veach's daughter's picture was also on the site, unbeknownst to her.  Her daughter was compared to a cartoon character from "Toy Story."

"I'm posting pictures.. my friends can see, not knowing there's a group that just picks these pictures and targets these pictures and makes fun of them."

The picture of Jacobs' daughter that was posted to the site was a fun memory of the baby's first major league baseball game.  Now that memory is tarnished.

"I was completely horrified, angry and hurt at seeing my daughter's picture on such a degrading web site," she said.  "As a mother, you know what a precious gift kids are and it saddens me to know the children of these mothers are being raised by these people."

She says the picture was just copied by a Facebook friend -- not one she knows very well.

"For her to take this picture of her and degrade it in such a way.. it infuriates me... I would like to take all the pictures off of my children because you don't know what someone will do and I don't want this to happen again."

Jade has hired an attorney to see if there's any legal action she can take.  And as for the site, it was taken down once our story aired.
