A Tennessee man convicted of seven murders in 1997 has died.

The Tennessee Department of Corrections says Paul Dennis Reid died at a Nashville hospital on Friday night.

Reid was rumored to be in poor health during the past several days.

The DOC is not commenting on how he died until an autopsy is performed.

Reid has been on death row since 1999 after a jury found him guilty of killing seven people at fast food restaurants in three different towns.
