DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

If you can't get a reservation at Restaurant Iris you can now just go this year's Memphis Grizzlies games to get your fix of Chef Kelly English's food.

The FedEXForum is going local for its food options this Grizzlies season and bringing in some of Memphis' favorite restaurants.

No more gooey nachos in a paper tray or giant pretzels at the FedExForum, although you can still get those if you want. But your options now are much wider, with some of your favorite dishes from local restaurants.

Chef English has the hottest restaurant in town in Restaurant Iris in Overton Square. Opening soon next door is Second Line. And still, he somehow has time to open three different concepts at FedExForum.

"We're going to have some of the things we do at Iris," Chef English said. "We're going to have some more approachable things. We're going to have things I'd want to eat while watching basketball."

The Lexus Lounge will feature fancier fare like at Iris, while two separate concessions will have more game-friendly food, like what will be featured in Chef English's soon to open restaurant Second Line.

"We're going to have midnight snacks, going to have some pimento cheese fries that we do with crawfish and andouille that are some of my favorite things to eat," he said. "We're also going to have Second Line concession stands with po boys."

The FedExForum isn't stopping there with the local fare. You will soon purchase frozen yogurt from Yolo, gourmet hot dogs and quesadillas from Chiwawa, Jet's Pizza, gourmet popcorn from the Popcorn Vault, and Rendezvous will be opening what will feel like a mini restaurant on the club level, with signature checkered tablecloths and all.

"We really want people to come into the FedExForum and think of it as their home," said Jason Wexler, Grizzlies COO. "They're here for a lot of games or just some games and they want to recognize what they're eating, and they want to recognize the people and brands that are serving it to them."

The idea is to make coming to see the Grizzlies play more than just the game, Wexler added. Instead, fans can come early for a nice dinner and stay after for drinks.

"A lot of fans are here more than just once or twice a year," Wexler said. "A lot are here 30 or 40 times a year. We want to give them a variety of options where they feel good about coming down and planning their meal around being at the Forum and seeing the game."

Wexler added the Grizzlies are always looking to support the local community, the same vision Chef English has now at the FedExForum.

"You really do have a slice of Memphis when you walk in," Chef English said.
