FOUND SAFE: 2-year old boy missing from Washtenaw County

AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

An Amber Alert has been canceled for 2-year-old Jarren Laron Jackson. Michigan State Police say he was found by family members approximately two miles from the scene of the incident.

Police say he was taken by a stranger from the side of the roadway after his parents' vehicle broke down around 1:15 am Saturday morning.

Michigan State Police say the child was allegedly abducted by a white male subject of unknown age, approximately 5'-10" tall, with an unknown clothing description. The suspect's vehicle is described as an older red pickup with rust. It was last seen traveling north bound on Whittaker Rd from Willis Rd in Augusta Township, Washtenaw County.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.  If you have any information, immediately call 911 or the Michigan State Police at 517-241-8000.
