'The Kimmer' returning to Atlanta radio

ATLANTA -

A Georgia broadcasting icon is returning to Atlanta's airwaves. Talk show host Kim Peterson has joined FOX 5's news partners at All News 106.7.  

He's been spending the week familiarizing himself with his new studio and co-workers.

Known affectionately as "The Kimmer," Peterson's new show will air weekdays from noon to 3 p.m. on All News 106.7.

The Vietnam combat veteran says listeners can expect his talk show to be no holds barred. He says no issue or personality will be safe.

The Kimmer says he's thrilled to be a part of Atlanta's local news team.

"I'm almost still not believing it. It kind of just happened all of a sudden," Peterson said. "It kind of got put together. I'm excited. I'm thrilled. I'm anxious. I'm nervous. I feel like I'm starting over again. But I've already welcomed back by so many people, it feels like old home week, honestly."
