Gwinnett County makes changes to blood-seizing practice

Posted: Updated:

The Gwinnett County jail has backed off a controversial practice in how they seize blood from suspected drunk drivers.

A FOX 5 I-Team investigation last summer revealed how the jail's Rapid Response Team routinely strapped down DUI suspects who had refused to provide a breath sample getting a warrant to take their blood instead.

Reporter Randy Travis says the warrants to seize blood continue, but in a far less confrontational way.
