Could action-packed TV fare make you fat? That's the implication of a new study that found people snacked more watching fast-paced television than viewing a more leisurely paced talk show.

FLORENCE, Ariz. -

Two men tried to pull a prank on a friend who was serving as a foreperson on a grand jury in Pinal County -- but their little joke backfired in a big way.

The plan for this prank was to make it look like someone found out their buddy was the foreperson on the grand jury and wrote him a threatening note. Then they'd come clean and everyone would laugh about it later.

But the sheriff's office and Pinal County prosecutors were not amused.

The stunt started when two men stopped by the LB Inn, a popular Mexican restaurant in Florence. As a gag, they asked a server to write a threatening note to one of their friends who was serving as foreperson on a grand jury.

"They wrote it on a check and said if we put it on a card they will know our handwriting so they asked one of our servers to just re-write it and of course, she was really reluctant, didn't want to do it," says manager Linda Knuth, LB Inn.

But they persisted, so she wrote it on one of the restaurant's guest checks.

The foreman found the note on his windshield. It read, in part, "You better not find my dad guilty I followed you home last Wednesday I know where you live."

The man took the note to the Pinal County Sheriff. An investigation of local restaurants wound up at the LB Inn. The staff was cooperative and a credit card receipt led to the two men behind the joke, who promptly apologized.

We wanted to get the side of the story of the two men of the two men who pulled the prank so we visited Robert Marquez' home in Casa Grande and Will Packard's place in Maricopa. But both times, nobody home.

The Pinal County Attorney says there's no place for jokes in the criminal justice system.

"No right-thinking person would go into an airport and pretend they had a bomb in their bag, that goes to the safety of the public right there. This is no different," says Lando Voyles, Pinal County Attorney.

The Pinal County Attorney says it will decide in the next few days what charges the two men may face.
