Ladies and lads, are you trying to hide something? A new study, done in the United Kingdom, shows that a shocking amount of both men and women are ditching their wedding rings in certain situations.
Research shows that a third of married or engaged women take off their rings when it's not necessary.
In fact, 35% of women remove their wedding rings at work, while 29% take their rings off for job interviews. A smaller number, 22% of women, take their rings off to socialize.
According to the survey, the top reason is fear of "damaging employment or job progression prospects." 62% of women thought that about work. Another 71% of women thought that having rings during interviews hinder their chances of getting a job.
Some women just also wanted to appear single.
1,712 women were surveyed in this study. The study was done by comparejewellery.com, a site that helps consumers compare prices on jewelry.
