ATLANTA -

It took 3 days, 60 miles and thousands of supporters to complete this year's Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk.

The walked kicked off Friday and paraded through the streets of metro Atlanta. Sunday, stream of walkers dressed in their finest pink outfits showed up at Turner Field for the closing ceremony.

The rainy weather on Saturday did not dampen the spirits of those participating and supporters say Sunday's weather was a perfect way to end this year's walk.

This year's walk raised $2.9 million that will go towards research, education and community-based programs that target breast cancer.
