SOUTH MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

UPDATE: MPD Director Toney Armstrong confirming body found inside of home was Aaron Dumas. Body was found in a bathtub. Armstrong would not say how they believe Dumas died.

UPDATE: Officer Paul Hutchison has been released from the hospital as well. Both officers doing great after shots to the leg, says FOX13 News reporter Lauren Lee.

UPDATE: Friend of Memphis Police Officer Tim Jackson told FOX13 News he was wounded by a grenade in Iraq during the War on Terror. After recovering from his wounds, he ran a triathlon.

BREAKING UPDATE: Memphis Police investigating a body found inside a South Memphis home where suspect wounded two officers in the leg and set place on fire.

According to reporter Lauren Lee, the working theory for MPD right now is that the suspect set the house on fire and shot himself, according to a source.

BREAKING UPDATE: During news conference Tuesday evening, Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong says Officer Paul Hutchison, a tactical officer, was shot in the leg by the suspect. Officer Hutchinson is a 15-year veteran of the force. His leg wound is non-critical.

BREAKING UPDATE: Second officer shot at standoff in S. Memphis according to MFD. It appears that the house is on fire.

UPDATE from Kristin Tallent: We are being told Aaron Dumas' mother has been driven to the scene to try to get her son to come out. 

UPDATE:  MPD Director Toney Armstrong confirms that Aaron Dumas is the man responsible for shooting the MPD officer at approximately 1:21 p.m.  Officer Timothy Jackson, 26, attempted to serve a warrant in the 1300 block of Worthington of Dumas.  He had an outstanding warrant for attempted first degree murder according to Armstrong. This is the same man MPD is searching for in connection with the brother and sister who were critically wounded.

Officer Jackson has been on the force for five years.

FOX13's Lauren Lee has been told a negotiating team has been sent to the scene. 

Officers are asking people to stay away from the area and inside their homes.

An Memphis Police officer has been shot in the leg at Worthington and South Parkway. A perimeter has been set up in the area.

Dozens of MPD officers are at The Med. Police Union President told FOX13's Lauren Lee that the officer is non-critical.

The suspected shooter was wanted from a CrimeStoppers tip. He remains on the loose.

"We have been pushed back to Lamar and South Parkway for our safety. Officers continue to say "the situation is not under control", says Kristin Tallent.
