CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

One of the "NATO 3" protesters facing trial on terrorism charges from protests during last year's NATO Summit in Chicago has been charged with aggravated battery, accused of squirting a shampoo bottle filled with urine and feces on a Cook County Jail guard, the Sun-Times is reporting.

Prosecutors said Jared Chase squirted the officer with the substance from inside his jail cell on Oct. 4.

Chase, 29, of Keene, N.H., appeared in court Saturday and was ordered held on $100,000 bail.

Chase and NATO 3 co-defendants Brian Church and Brent Vincent are accused of plotting to attack President Barack Obama's campaign headquarters in Chicago and Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home during the NATO Summit, held in May 2012 at McCormick Place. They are expected to go on trial early next year.
