CLARKSDALE, Miss. (FOX13) -

UPDATE: Clarksdale Police Department has verified that the suspect arrested in connection with a double shooting the Clarksdale High School homecoming parade is 18-year-old Brandon Sims. Originally Clarksdale Police reported the suspect to be a 17-year-old male.

Sims bond was set at $100,000.00.

The Clarksdale Police Department is still following up leads on this case and is seeking the assistance of anyone who may have information about this shooting including information on any other persons who may have been involved in this shooting. There could be a reward through Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons involved in this crime.

Clarksdale Police arrest a 17-year-old male in connection with a double shooting at the Clarksdale High School homecoming parade Friday.

Police say two people were shot Friday afternoon during the Clarksdale Homecoming Parade.

Police tell FOX13 News there was an altercation between several black male juveniles and shots were fired. The shooting took place before 4 p.m. in the 200 block of Sunflower.

One of victims was shot in the leg and the other shot in the arm. Both were treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The victims were not participating in the homecoming parade.
