More than 100 dogs and puppies rescued from a breeding facility in Pine River, Minn. last July will be ready for adoption beginning Saturday, Oct. 12 from the Animal Humane Society.
A total of 133 dogs and puppies were seized, but with the puppies born to pregnant dogs, AHS has been caring for more than 200 animals connected to the Pine River case.
The dogs have been under quarantine at AHS in Golden Valley, but they couldn't be adopted until property owner Deborah Rowell's appeal of the seizure was complete.
About 75 puppies and 65 dogs will be initially available for adoption on Oct. 12. As more space is made available, additional animals will become ready for placement.
The dogs and puppies will be available at all five Animal Humane Society locations:

AHS will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, and will have extra staff on hand to help with potential adoptions.
