A Memphis man convicted of raping a 64 year old woman, gets nearly a quarter of a century behind bars. Wayne Sellers was sentenced Tuesday to 23 years in prison without parole. Police said he raped a woman in downtown Memphis, back in 2011.
The victim said Sellers led her into a wooded area, grabbed her by the neck, forced her to the ground and raped her. Sellers was identified six months later, when DNA found on the victim was found to be a positive match for him. The victim said she didn't know Sellers prior to the attack. However she said she had seen him on the streets, a week before.
