Catholic Charities turn down donation from Kuma`s Corner

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago's Catholic Charities says it won't accept a donation from the makers of a burger it considers to be blasphemous.

The "Ghost Burger" at Kuma's Corner features a communion wafer and red wine -- the central elements of Holy Communion.

The restaurant made $1,500 donation as a sort of peace offering but Catholic Charities refunded the donation. A spokeswoman says it cannot accept it, because the burger disrespects the faith of all Christians.

Kuma's says it will keep selling the "Ghost Burger" through the end of the month.
