DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

UPDATE: Family members tell FOX 2 that 14-year-old Maurissa Shaw has been found safe.

A family and police were searching for missing 14-year-old Maurissa Shaw, who went missing October 5, 2013 after what her mother says was a fight over a cell phone. At first her family speculated Shaw ran away, but, days later, began to fear the worst.

"I just want my baby home safe. I'm as worried as I can be," Akeela Jones, Maurissa's mother, tells Fox 2's Amy Lange.

Jones says she got in a fight Saturday afternoon with her daughter about her daughter's cell phone use. Jones took the phone away, went upstairs and says that's when Shaw disappeared.

Jones called police but began to take matters into her own hands. She says she learned that her daughter was seen at a nearby park and a liquor store. In fact, Jones got surveillance video from Saturday night showing her daughter at the Super Giant Liquor Store on Gratiot Avenue. The video shows Shaw, accompanied by two males, entering the store, buying some items then leaving.
