What party would be complete this time of year without the zombie dance?
That makes the Mid-South Corn Maze at the Agricenter Halloween Party Central. For its 13th year, that even is creepy.
"We keep doing it and people keep supporting us by coming out and enjoying it," said Justin Taylor. "The crowds really do get bigger every year. We always hope for that in the beginning of each season."
Not only has the corn maze been a source of income to the Agricenter and the Shelby Farms Conservancy, it has provided jobs for hundreds of young people each year.
"We have kids that started working for us when they were 15 or 16 that now have kids of their own," Taylor said. "This is our 13th year so time has flown. You're an institution. The family that scares together, stays together."
One reason this corn maze, while no longer the only show in town, remains the most popular in the area is the founders keep adding new features.
"This year we have a live deejay so it will be more interactive," Taylor said. "You know, while you're here waiting around for your friends to come out of the maze."
They say it takes about an hour for you to make your way through they entire corn maze. If it takes you any longer than that, chances are you're lost."
Here is the funny part this year's corn maze design. It's in the shape of the human brain. So if you do get lost in the brain maze you might want to keep it to yourself.
