CHICAGO (Associated Press) -

Gov. Pat Quinn says he isn't worried that he might be putting the state at a disadvantage in keeping grain giant Archer Daniels Midland Company in Illinois.

Quinn spoke to reporters following a business event at the University of Illinois-Chicago on Friday. He says he doesn't think any corporation should be seeking tax-break legislation in the state right now.

That's because the Chicago Democrat says Illinois' $100 billion pension crisis is paramount.

Quinn told The Associated Press Thursday that he wouldn't support ADM's requested $24 million tax break.

The company announced last week that it plans to move its headquarters and 100 jobs out of Decatur to a location with better global access.

Quinn says the company will still be keeping 4,400 jobs in Illinois.
