PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police are looking to identify the man caught on video beating a 75-year-old man in the city's Stanton section.

The victim was purchasing lottery tickets inside a Getty gas station on the 2400 block of North Broad Street when the attack occurred back on Sept. 18, police said.

Surveillance video shows the attacker approaching from behind, punching the man in the right side of his face to knock him to the ground, and then continuing to punch and kick him in the head and body. According to police, the attacker ran off with the man's lottery tickets and $40 cash.

Police described the attacker as black, 6-feet-tall, partially balding in the front of his head with dreadlocks in the back, wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a metallic bag with a shoulder strap.

If you see this man, Central Detectives say not to approach him but to call 9-1-1. To submit a tip, call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or text to PPD TIP or 773847.
