Accused sexual predator Steven Davis from East Memphis has been charged with 225 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and statutory rape in the latest child pornography bust by Memphis Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Davis was caught with more than 500 pictures of child pornography on his computer. He's also accused of raping a child he had parental authority over.
MORE: Affidavit of Complaint
According to the affidavit, police found over 500 sexually explicit photographs of minors on Davis' computer.
The undercover operation has caught at least two child sexual predators in Memphis.
Davis is the latest person arrested after members of MPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered he was sharing child pornography online, according to an affidavit.
Investigators say they downloaded four videos from Davis on Aug. 23, tracking his computer to the 1200 block of North Graham in Memphis, which is near Kingsbury High School. Officers found more than 500 images of child pornography on Davis' computer.
He's also accused of raping a girl between the ages of 6 and 17 who Davis had parental authority over.
The news is gruesome for parents like Sophy Doeung, who has three children including one daughter and lives in the area where Davis was caught.
"With kids just walking around here, then there are sexual predators out there, there's no telling what will happen," Doeung said. "I think he should be put in a hole for the rest of his life."
The same undercover operation that lead authorities to Davis also busted Luis Enrique Ortega Hernandez after police say he shared a video of child porn with investigators.
Both cases have Doeung on guard with her children and she says other parents should do the same.
"Make sure they get picked up, as soon as they walk up out that door," she said. "I'll be right there."
Davis is expected in court Thursday, Oct. 3.
